Beginnings, Endings, and the Humanity Between

Tickets Available Starting June 1

A festival of international performance, community dialogues, and special events that celebrate the thriving art of Puppet Theater as a means of enhancing perspective, generating compassion and celebrating the human spirit.

This 13th edition of PGM celebrates the 30 year anniversary since our first festival in 1996!

The 2026 festival explores the theme “Endings, Beginnings and the Humanity In Between.” In a world marked by ecological crisis, technological isolation, and political division, puppetry offers a uniquely embodied, imaginative space to reconsider what it means to be human. Each performance uses visual storytelling, myth, and material animation to explore renewal, empathy, and transformation.

The 2026 Puppets in the Green Mountains Festival is made possible with the generous support of Sandglass Theater’s funders, sponsors, board members, and individual donors and volunteers.

Our 2026 Festival Sponsors include Oak Meadow, Landmark College, M & T Bank, C & S Wholesale Grocers, Mascoma Bank, Chroma Technologies, Sages Pub, 118 Elliot, Latchis Theater, and Hilltop Montessori School.
